Arozzi Monza Review

It can be tough to shop for a new gaming chair. You’ll find that most of the time, the products with the highest ratings are simply unaffordable. However, there are exceptional, budget-friendly chairs available on the market. You just need to know where to look.

Today we’ll be taking a look at the Arozzi Monza – an eye-catching gaming chair with a very reasonable price tag (around $225). 

We’ll be highlighting the areas in which it does well, but also areas where it could use some work, so you can decide if it’s the right model for your needs.

Appearance

This isn’t an expensive chair. The base and armrests are made of hard plastic, and there are a few wrinkles in the upholstery. However, we did like the vented back and the overall shape of the chair itself.

What’s interesting about this model is that all the color options are vibrant. There’s no “just black” variant, and the colored portions all contrast excellently with the black trim. 

In particular, we liked the way that the yellow and cherry red covers stood out, but this might not fly if you work in a professional surrounding.

Instead, this chair allows you to display your personality. It’s among the only low-cost gaming chairs to offer a pink variant, let alone one that looks as good as this. Better yet, there’s only one logo on the chair, and it’s not only discreet, but it also works well with any given color scheme.

Comfort

The Monza is pretty comfortable. It utilizes a bucket-style seat to take the strain off of your back and thighs. 

Plus, there’s a built-in lumbar support ridge so you don’t need any external cushioning. The armrests are exceedingly well-padded too, which is always a good sign.

Now, you can’t recline in this chair. You can rock back and forth, though, and there’s a locking bar in case you want to remain upright. 

The one benefit of having a plastic frame is that the chair is very lightweight, taking a minimal effort to move. Of course, you can also swivel 360°, but that’s expected.

We’ve touched upon the vented back already, but it’s a godsend if you live in a hot place. As there are no breathable mesh parts on the upholstery, you’ll be reliant on these vents to keep you fresh as you sit for long periods. The difference truly is outstanding.

Features

The Arozzi Monza is pretty barebones in terms of functionality. The armrests are fixed in place, and there are only a few ways to customize your experience – tilt tension dial, height adjustments, and so on. 

The wheels themselves seem to be pretty decent and aren’t prone to locking up.

This doesn’t mean that this is a bad chair. On the contrary, considering that many products in this price range are low-backed, simple office chairs, the Monza represents a good compromise between comfort, price, and functionality.

All basic features are included, but it’d be unreasonable to expect a massage option from a budget chair.

Support

Arozzi has a section of its website dedicated to model-specific customer support. This includes FAQs, construction guides, and a form to fill out in case of any issues. That’s great, but how well protected are you, as a buyer?

The Monza comes with a two-year limited warranty. This covers any manufacturing defects or parts broken through no fault of your own. You can also return the chair within 14 days of purchase.

If there’s nothing wrong with it, however, you’ll have to pay for shipping. To be honest, this is pretty standard coverage for a budget chair.

Summary

Let’s be honest: the Arozzi Monza isn’t going to satisfy people who want every little feature.

That said, it’s a comfortable and attractive chair that retails for less than half the price of some more popular products. If that doesn’t represent value, we don’t know what does.

Admittedly, there are a couple of improvements that could be made. We weren’t huge fans of the plastic body, for instance.

However, given the price point, this is a fair compromise. If you work from home and need an inexpensive chair that won’t hurt your back, the Monza is a great choice.
