Eula is a 5* Cryo Claymore DPS character renowned for her Physical DMG capabilities. Before Eula got released, relying on a Physical DMG build wasn’t really a viable option for the hardest endgame content, but she not only makes it work—she makes it look effortless!
That being said, Eula is a hypercarry. In other words, she’s a greedy DPS, offering no support capabilities whatsoever and only doing DMG while she is active on the field. And with no shortage of competitive DPS options in the game, it’s important to understand her strengths and weaknesses before committing the resources needed to pull a 5* character like her.
In this guide, we’ll evaluate Eula’s overall kit, give you the most optimal guide for weapons and artifacts, and also see which characters she plays well with.

What the tables above should tell you is that Eula not only has immense scaling on her DMG, but also a coherent kit that has a nice rhythm to it—suitable, given the character’s fondness for dancing. Once you’ve acquired all her passive talents, this is how Eula’s rotation goes: Hold Elemental Skill, cast Elemental Burst, Tap Elemental Skill, Normal Attack until the Skill goes off cooldown, Hold Elemental Skill, and then keep attacking until her Burst explodes, destroying all enemies in her immediate vicinity. This way, you can maximize the number of Lightfall Sword stacks and ensure the enemies have their Physical Resistance reduced when it hits.
Of course, all of this will be for naught if you don’t equip Eula with the proper weapon and artifacts or team her up with synergistic teammates. In this guide, we’ll walk you through this entire process step-by-step, but first, let’s look at whether Eula’s constellations bring any value.

Eula’s constellations are hard to evaluate. On the one hand, it seems like much of her DMG potential is locked behind constellations. Aside from C5, each constellation buffs her DMG or otherwise streamlines her playstyle in powerful and meaningful ways. But despite all of this, Eula is somehow still incredibly powerful at C0. This makes it difficult to locate a good stopping point, since each constellation appears better than the last one. But aside from C6, C2 is objectively the standout constellation here, letting Eula maintain 100% efficiency while using her best artifact set (more on that later).
Best Weapon

Best Artifacts – 4-Pale Flame
As far as main stats go, there’s only one way to build Eula—ATK% on the Sands, Physical DMG on the Goblet, and CRIT Rate on the Logos. You could go CRIT DMG on the Logos, but do this only if you’ve somehow already got loads of CRIT Rate.
And we do mean loads! Since most of Eula’s DMG is gated behind the one-time explosion of her Burst, she can feel very underwhelming when the Burst doesn’t CRIT. Normally, the recommendation is to shoot for a 1:2 ratio of CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, but with Eula, you should feel free to skew the ratio in favor of CRIT Rate.
In terms of substats, CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are paramount. ATK% and Energy Recharge are also valuable.
As far as set bonuses go, you’ve got two options.
The first is to go for the 4-Piece Pale Flame set bonus. Eula is one of the few characters that can maintain stacks on the 4-piece bonus, which will net her +50% Physical DMG plus an additional +18% ATK. A C0 Eula can maintain this bonus, although the timings are unforgivably tight. If you happen to have C2 Eula, then you don’t need to worry about this.
Alternatively, you can opt to go for a combination of 2-Piece Pale Flame and 2-Piece Bloodstained Chivalry set bonuses. This will give her a consistent +50% Physical DMG bonus without you having to worry about maintaining any stacks. The DMG ceiling is slightly lower this way, but the consistency and ease of execution makes it worth it for players who only have C0 or C1 Eula. Even if you do have a C2 Eula, take the combination that offers better substats.
As always, it’s important to remember that substats are crucial. If the second option nets you better substats (especially better CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG), then go for it. Additionally, you can combine either a 2-Piece Pale Flame of 2-Piece Bloodstained Chivalry with a 2-Piece Gladiator’s Finale or 2-Piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence if you’re lacking good substats for the two best artifact builds. We don’t count this as the third best build, since it’s better defined as something you’ll equip and use while farming for one of the two best builds.
Elemental Synergies
Cryo normally pairs great with Hydro and Pyro, but remember that Cryo DMG isn’t Eula’s forte. Instead, she deals mainly Physical DMG. As such, for her there’s only one top-tier Element she needs to support her:
- Electro is needed to proc Superconduct, which reduces affected enemies’ Physical Resistance, boosting all of Eula’s DMG.
The other Elements are all okay, as least insofar as none of them is detrimental to Eula’s play style. So long as they don’t prevent you from Superconducting, all is well.
Best Team Composition

The idea behind this team is the use off-field support to debuff enemies, heal and shield Eula, and provide some extra DMG, all while allowing Eula to maintain the most active uptime in the team.
Diona is hands-down the best 4* support for Eula. She provides plenty of Cryo particles (especially if you equip her with a Sacrificial Bow), and can also shield and heal Eula for when the going gets tough. If you don’t have Diona, any 4* Cryo user will do, even the free Kaeya everyone has. Eula’s Burst costs 80 Energy, so having a Cryo battery is mandatory for F2P teams.
Fischl is there to set up Superconduct. Thanks to her ability to provide constant off-field Electro DMG, there’s no 4* character more suited to this role than her. That said, while Fischl is the best Superconductor facilitator for Eula, the other 4* Electro support characters can also do a fine job. The Electro Traveler is great because they can speed up Eula’s Energy recovery, and Lisa is also a top pick, as she can provide DEF shred, one of the rarest and most valuable debuffs in the entire game.
Beidou is another 4* Electro character that’s often paired with Eula due to her immense off-field DPS potential. The problem with Beidou is that she also requires a lot of Energy, which is why she and Fischl (the best Electro battery) pair together so well. That said, this is a flex spot, so you needn’t necessarily fill it with a second Electro character. See what your team is lacking and add a bit of that. If you don’t have Diona, you may well need a healer, like Barbara or Bennett. Alternatively, if you want another Cryo battery to guarantee Eula’s Burst uptime, go for Rosaria, as she can give Eula additional CRIT Rate.
For Whales

The whale team comp for Eula is a bit different in how it plays out. Here, you’re not looking to keep Eula on the field near 100% of the time, instead letting Raiden Shogun take the spotlight whenever her Burst is available.
Raiden Shogun and Eula are a match made in heaven. Not only does Raiden Shogun allow Eula to effortlessly keep enemies Superconducted, but she also restores Eula’s Energy when using her own Burst. The playstyle here is such that Eula and Raiden Shogun effectively share the spotlight as the main DPS, both taking the stage whenever their Bursts are ready to cast.
Zhongli is the best unit in the game, so no wonder that he works wonders here. However, what’s great about Zhongli in this team is that he provides an additional means of reducing the enemy’s Physical Resistance. He not only keeps your team safe, but also increases the DMG of both Eula and his fellow Electro Archon.
Jean is non-essential, but we feel she’s a great pick to round out this team. With healing having become a genuine necessity in recent patches, Jean can help keep your team safe from Bleeding and Corrosion effects. Her second utility comes from her ability to use the 4-Piece Viridescent Venerer set, which can set the Raiden Shogun up for even bigger DMG. Of course, you’re free to use any other support that fits the bill. Bennett and Diona also do a fine job, but Jean’s ability to burst heal the entire team at once is proving more necessary by the patch.
Is Eula Worth It?
If you’ve checked out our character Tier List, you’ll know that Eula isn’t an S-Tier character. She’s very close to S-Tier, mind you, and can measure up to other S-Tier DPS characters with the right supports, but Ayaka and Ganyu both beat her out in terms of Burst DMG capabilities and sustained DPS respectively. These comparisons are made at C0; Eula scales much higher with constellations than the other two characters mentioned, but that’s not something the majority of players care about.
What’s important to keep in mind here is that Eula requires lots of active field time to do her thing. If you’re into quick-swap teams where you cycle between Elemental Skills and Bursts and barely ever use Normal Attacks, you’re not going to enjoy Eula. On the other hand, if you need a so-called hypercarry, then Eula is one of the best options you’ve got—she’s got huge modifiers, she can make great use of all 5* weapons (which is a F2P feature not shared by many other hypercarries) and plenty of F2P 4* (or even 3*) weapons, and she isn’t picky about her teammates.
We’ll reiterate the last point, in case you didn’t get it the first time—she isn’t picky about her teammates. This makes her an invaluable DPS character for your second team in Abyss, since most other hypercarries rely on some combination of Bennett, Xingqiu, Xiangling, Kazuha, and Zhongli to maximize their DMG. Eula, on the other hand, works incredibly well with supports who aren’t in such high demand, like Diona, Fischl, and Beidou. Sure, she doesn’t mind getting Zhongli’s shield or Bennett’s ATK buff, but she doesn’t depend on them to keep up with other characters.
So yeah, we’d say Eula is worth it, especially if you’ve already found that your current DPS characters fight over the same overpowered supports whenever the time comes to tackle the Spiral Abyss. That being said, if you’ve already got two hypercarries that do well, then you likely don’t need Eula. At the very least, be aware that you’ll have to bench one of them if you intend to use her.
